This video shows a quick and easy way to arrange flowers from the garden. This is a easy summer project and a great way to bring flowers or greenery inside to make an arrangement in approximately 10-15 minutes.
The secret to flower arranging plants grown in your own garden is tape. The translucent tape helps the flowers to stand more upright and makes the arrangement much easier to fill out the container and look good. This is a secret many florists use and most of us don't know about!
Simply criss-cross the tape over the top of your bowl before adding your flowers or greenery. Ivy, holly, pine, and shrubs all look great in arrangements, as well as garden flowers such as daffodils, dahlias, delphinium, etc. Every few weeks change the tape. Freshen up your flowers / greenery when required with fresh plants and fresh water.
This is a low cost way to decorate any room in the house or to decorate your BBQ area, sun room, conservatory or garden outdoor sitting area.
Materials needed:
Large bowl, like a fish bowl or large fruit bowl.
Clear tape (or you could also use masking tape)
Flowers or greenery from the garden, and water
In this video, I'm using flowers called 'Jacob's Ladder' also called Polemonium. They are a fast growing perennial, that flower in early Spring in the UK / Northern Ireland. They will grow to between 30-40cm in height. They last well in arrangements, several weeks in a cool place.
Why not make bunting to add to the decorations. Here's my easy paper bunting video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rBlf...

Free or low cost home decor, that can be made very easy for pennies!
Only a few items needed to make this project. Easy and great for beginners. Save money by making your own!
