A fun Halloween project for kids! Make your spider dens our of yarn to decorate the house and windows! This how to video shows how to use yarn to make spooky spiker decorations! Great for parties, Halloween decorating, and kids crafting.

Kids love to craft and decorate for Halloween. This is low cost and uses items you may have around the house.

Materials needed:

·         Yarn;

·         Scissors;

·         Small book approx. 3 or 4 inches wide (or 8 cm) – to wrap yarn around;

·         PVA Glue;

·         Plastic spiders.

 

Halloween Spider Dens are easy to make!

Steps:

  1. Wrap yarn 100 times around the book.
  2. Cut a piece of yarn 30cm / 12 inches to use as a tie.
  3. Slip yarn down from the book, and tie tightly with a knot in the centre.
  4. Us scissors to cut through loops at both ends.
  5. Shake to fluff your pom pom / spider’s den.
  6. Glue on a spider.
  7. Hang and enjoy.

 

These handmade spider dens look great hanging from windows or light fixtures. A great low cost way to decorate. Glow in the dark spiders work really well!

A lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon! Crafting with the kids is great for everyone and health and wellbeing. Creativity matters so why not enjoy a little crafting time!
