loves working with buttons, and its a great way to use up old buttons
as well as vintage buttons and beads.

This is a fun, easy creative project suitable for children, teens and
adults. Simply glue down buttons onto a photo frame or make a button
picture to go into the frame. This video shows how to button your
initial, using a template cut out of paper.

Materials needed for this project include:

  • Photo frame (video uses a 6inch by 4 inch photo frame).
  • Buttons (new or recycled).
  • Glue such as PVA glue, Elmer's, or basic non-toxic glue.
  • Small paint brush, to apply glue.
  • Water to clean paintbrush.
  • A piece of decorative card paper to go into your frame, which you will glue your buttons to.
  • Optional: small shiny beads, sequins or rhinestones to add sparkle and a
    finishing touch to your piece.

Tip: a toothpick is handy to help position small beads, sequins or
rhinestones.

Optional: mod podge can be used instead of PVA glue.

This basic crafting video introduces how to button craft your initial onto
a photo frame, to hang on the wall, or display on a shelf.

A great weekend crafting project that all ages will enjoy!

This is a very cost effective, simple project. A jar of crafting buttons
is very inexpensive, approx £3 for 250 buttons. A photo frame will
cost around £1, and PVA glue costs around £3 for 1 litre.

Save money too by making your own! Recuse and recycle where possible.
