Decorate Your Summer Plant Pots or Watering Can | Paper Glue Craft




This is a great way to decorate plant pots or even a watering can, using a
few simple materials: paper napkins and PVA glue.

This is a fun, easy creative project suitable for children, teens and
adults. A fun garden themed project!



You can apply this paper and glue crafting technique, also known as
decoupage, to lots of projects. Basically any item glue will stick to
can be decorated with paper (glass jars, tin cans, plant pots, etc).



Materials needed for this project include:


Plant pot or watering can;
Glue such as PVA glue, Elmer's, or basic non-toxic glue.
Optional: mod podge  can be used instead of PVA glue.
Small paint brush, to apply glue.
Scissors, water to clean paintbrush.



This basic crafting video introduces how to decoupage on metal for home
interior decor, or for the garden. If putting outside, it is
recommended you seal it with a clear varnish first.



This is a great weekendcrafting project! Use paper napkins and PVA glue to give something
plain a bit of a wow factor!



Decoupage (using paper an glue) is really easy once you get the hang of it.
Anything that glue can stick to can be decorated.

Tips:
Speciality decoupage paper is available in shops and online, however, you can
use napkins as well and save money.



Mod podge is a great glue to use, however, you can use PVA glue as well
and save money.



No watering can? Use a tin can instead.
No napkins? Use thin paper from a magazine.



Napkins: Use 1-ply napkins - most napkins are 2-ply or 3-ply. To
separate, p
ull apart at the corners, to make a 1-ply napkin for this project. Cut
decorations our of the napkin to apply to your project. You don't
need to paint your
item beforehand, but you can if you want and let dry fullypainting the item is optional.



Save money too by making your own! Recuse and recycle where possible.
